How it works

From address to files in four steps. The same shape every time, so you know what you are getting before you book.

  1. Pick a package

    Aerial Photos, Aerial Video, the Listing Bundle or a Roof Check. One fixed price, with the pilot's payout printed next to it.

  2. Give the address and a window

    The address, who to call on the day and a window of a few days. Daylight only. We flag likely controlled airspace so your pilot can get FAA authorization first.

  3. A verified pilot accepts, then you pay

    A Part 107 pilot based nearby takes the job. You pay through a Stripe payment page, and the pilot flies once the payment is confirmed.

  4. Files land on your private page

    Photos and video arrive on a page only you, your pilot and Astral Pic staff can open, within 48 hours of the flight. Approve them, or ask for one round of changes.

Three things we promise

Each one is enforced by how the site works, not by small print. How we check pilots, and how your money moves.

  • A person checked every pilot.

    Every pilot showed us a current FAA Part 107 certificate, the FAA registration label on their drone and a liability insurance certificate of at least $1 million before they could accept a job. A person checked each one.

  • You pay after a pilot accepts.

    You pay only after a pilot accepts your job. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store the number.

  • Your pilot is paid after you approve.

    Your pilot is paid only after you approve the files, or 48 hours after delivery if you say nothing. Your files sit on a private page that only you, your pilot and Astral Pic staff can open.

Pilots appear here as a person finishes checking each one's certificate, registration label and insurance.

Each pilot flies within their own radius of home, so your job goes to someone based nearby. You can book before a pilot is listed: you pay nothing unless one accepts within your window, and your dashboard shows the job status at every step.

Paid flights near your base, with the payout printed on the offer before you accept. $143 to $279 per flight. You see the pay, the distance and the shot list first, choose your own jobs and hours, and can decline anything with no penalty and no acceptance score.

We check your Part 107 certificate, your aircraft registration label and your insurance certificate once, then you are visible to customers in your metro. Payouts reach you within 7 days of approval.

Common questions

Do I need to be there for the flight?

No. Your pilot flies from the street or from the lot with your permission, and never enters the building. When you book, leave access notes such as a gate code, dogs in the yard or who to call. Your pilot calls you the day before to set the exact time inside your window.

What if the weather is bad?

Your pilot decides whether it is safe and legal to fly. FAA rules require 3 miles of visibility and clear distance from clouds; our pilots also do not fly in rain, in sustained wind over 20 mph, or under a temporary flight restriction. If your pilot calls it off for weather or airspace you pay nothing extra and you pick a new window within 14 days.

What if no pilot accepts?

If no pilot accepts by the end of your window, you were never charged. Close the job or book again. You pay only after a pilot accepts, through a Stripe payment page, and a person at Astral Pic confirms the payment before the pilot flies.
